Just so you know a little bit about me: I was born in Chicago, graduated from Georgia Tech and some thirty years later, here I am in Philadelphia!

OK, it's a little more involved than that.

After college, I did morning shows at various radio stations around the country, including Z-93 in Atlanta and 13 years in New York, 3 of them at WABC and 10 at Z-100, where I was Billboard magazine's Major Market Air Personality of the Year. I actually worked in Philadelphia at WEGX for a year between jobs in New York City. The last eight years before moving to Philly were at WKSS in Hartford --so it was more than a little surprising after 30 years to be named "Best New Air Talent" at the Philadelphia AIR (Achievement in Radio) Awards last year.

I met my wife while working at WABC in New York --she's a newscaster who fills in frequently at WPHT 1210 --"The Big Talker." We've been married 23 years and have an 11 year-old daughter (going on 21).

A Screen Actors Guild member, I've been in dozens of commercials and had a brief, on-camera appearance with buddy and former MTV VJ Adam Curry in Madonna's movie, "Truth or Dare" interviewing one of her dancers. I'm also the DJ (how hard was that?) in Blake Edwards' "Switch."

As editor and publisher of The Ross Brittain Report, I write a daily, 10-page column for 150 radio stations across the country. And I have a 4-hour, syndicated weekend oldies show which runs on about 60 stations around the country.

As a minister in the Universal Life Church I've married more than 650 couples on the air (plus several off the air).

As a family, we've had ferrets (Ferret Bueller and Ferret Fawcett) but now have fish, thanks to my daughter who loves them.
